Exploring the Land of Agiorgitiko

The historic vineyard, the core of the PDO Nemea wines, produces exceptionally famous red and rosé wines worldwide. The white clayey soil, the unique microclimate, and the altitude differences of the terrain offer a wide range of different types of wines: from easy-drinking, fresh, and fruity to more full-bodied, with complex aromas and long aging potential.

Scattered throughout the renowned vineyard,  dozens of visitable wineries will offer you  guided tours tastings and seminars on the wine-making process. Additionally, every September, during the annual event «Great Days of Nemea», the wineries of Nemea open their doors and invite us to discover the oenological wealth of the region, through an “intoxicating” journey in a nature and human blessed place!

During your visit, don’t forget to visit:

The archaeological site and the archaeological museum within it.
The Byzantine monastery of Panagia tou Vrachou, located 2.5 km northwest of the settlement.
The area of Aidonia, a beautiful area with running waters and plane trees.
